Dates for 2010: 26th - 30th July, 2nd - 6th and 9th - 13th August

When should we arrive?
Please arrive at 9am on the Monday morning for the introduction to Young Dartington then arrive at 9:15 every other morning. If you need to drop off your child earlier or pick them up later please just ask.
When will I get my individual timetable?
Timetables will be sent out the week before YD because we need to be sure of numbers before creating your personal timetable and last minute bookings can change everything.
What if I find it difficult to get to Youngdartington each morning? Please contact us in advance and we will try to arrange car shares etc.
Why do some activities have supplements?
These activities cost us more to put on due to smaller ratios, more highly qualified staff, transport costs etc and these costs are passed directly on to those individuals who wish to choose those activities rather than being added to the cost for everyone.
Is Youngdartington licenced and insured adequately? Youngdartington is covered for £5,000,000 public liability insurance with Perkins Slade as is recommended for the outdoor activities industry. Its outdoor activities are licenced through Indie Outdoors which is owned and run by Indie and Theo. Indie Outdoors is registered with the Adventure Activities Licencing Service.
What should I bring?

  • Rock climbing- trainers or walking boots, comfortable and non-restrictice clothes.
  • Underground Challenge- old clothes, wellies. Don't wear new or white clothes as they will stain with mud!
  • Batik and Tie Dye- no new clothes as they might get stained. You can bring your own cotton clothes to dye if you want. They don't even have to be white.
  • Adventure- swimming things the second time you do adventure only plus old trainers, sandals or other shoes that like getting wet.

Are there any discounts available?
Currently Park School parents receive a discount, just ask. Also we have just signed up to Don't Stop Me Know which might mean that some people who receive free school meals can come to YD for free. This is very new though so watch this space (27/6/10).
