ADVENTURE

Join Captain Yellowbeard the pirate on a quest to find his lost treasure. Solve puzzles, complete challenges and earn gold coins, then give Yellowbeard a good soaking in the final waterfight. Then in your next session build a raft, find the treasure map and search the island for Yellowbeard's treasure chest.

BUSHCRAFT

Learn practical survival and forest skills handed down from ancient tribal peoples. Learn the Apache techniques of tracking, stalking, stone craft, fire starting, shelter and finding water as well as the important philosophy behind it all.

CIRCUS SKILLS

Try your hand at plate spinning, diablo, stilt walking, juggling, hula hoops and have fun with the giant parachute. You really can learn these skills in just one session.

LANTERN MAKING

Build your own brightly coloured lantern or willow sculpture using willow withys, masking tape and coloured tissue paper. Take it home or join in making one of our giant sculptures.

MOSAICS

Dartington only

Create your own design using cut up bits of tiles, stick them down and then grout between the pieces to make your finished mosaic. If you finish there are always other crafty things to be making with your craft wizard Rachel.

POTTERY

Create anything your imagination can conjure up out of clay. Ali will then biscuit fire your creation which you can then glaze in wonderful colours and fire again in the raku kiln to give it an amazing crackly appearance. If you run out of ideas for clay sculptures you can have a go at felt making.

QUEST GAMES

Travel through forests and fields with your friends in search of the enemy camp. Raid the hideout, capture their flag and win the day! Quest Games involves lots of running around playing dodgeball, capture the flag, shoe olympics, giant skipping, 4 square and other team games.

ROCK CLIMBING

Rock climbing and abseiling are excellent fun and offer exciting challenges for both beginners and the more experienced, so try it and see for yourself! We use the many excellent outdoor venues on Dartmoor for the Dartington camp and Cheddar Gorge and areas of the Mendips for the Radford camp. >> read more...
