Booking Conditions. Please read carefully! • All children taking part in canoeing adventure must be able to swim up to 50 metres. • Children will be placed whenever possible on their chosen courses, otherwise Young Dartington (YD) will offer an alternative course; if this is not acceptable the money will be refunded. • If after acceptance of a booking, the client wishes to change an aspect of the booking, YD will endeavour to effect such an alteration. However, if this is not possible the client shall be bound by the original booking. • Provisional bookings do not hold firm until deposits have been paid. • Bookings are confirmed when the 25% deposit is paid. This deposit is not returnable. The full cost of the holiday must be paid 4 weeks prior to the holiday. • No liability whatsoever is assumed by us in respect of personal injury or loss which the applicant or group on a holiday may sustain. • In the event of cancellation less than 6 weeks before the start of YD you will be charged a percentage of the full cost of the course according to the following: less than 6 weeks but more than 4 weeks: 50%, less than 4 weeks but more than 1 week: 75%, less than 1 week: 100%. • No compensation will be paid or refund given if courses arranged by YD are cancelled or changed due to war, strike, riots, technical problems with transportation, quarantine, weather conditions or any other reasons beyond the control of YD. • YD, its servants, agents and employees do not accept liability in respect of personal injury, sickness, loss or damage to property, unless caused by negligence. • Any regulations which it might be necessary for YD to make in the interest of safety and comfort must be observed by those taking part. • The organisers cannot accept responsibility for unaccompanied children before 9.00am or after 4.45 unless the children in question are camping. YD reserves the right to exclude or refuse any person at any time prior to or during the holiday; if in our opinion that person is not compatible with the general enjoyment and well-being of YD. • All of the advertised courses are subject to change according to the weather, programming requirements and other considerations. • In the course of YD many photos will be taken and some may be used for publicity. Please let us know if this presents a problem to you. Safety • Centres and instructors are registered for licensing as required under the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations (1996). Local Authority safety and equipment guidelines our observed. Courses are run by skilled, qualified instructors. The overall adult/child ratio meets LEA and national safety guidelines. • The activities advertised on this website are organised independently of the Dartington Hall Trust, which is not responsible for them.
